Priest in Manila speaks out against war on drugs
In Manila, Philippines, Father Amado Picardal speaks out against their President, Rodrigo Duterte's bloody drug war that is killing thousands of people. Father Amado says that there is a "blood lust" in the country and it is being encouraged by the president's propaganda. Manila is considered to be an overwhelmingly catholic country and many people attend mass regularly, however, their president thinks that the catholic church is "full of shit". At his church, Father Amado preaches about the killings. "We have to put a stop to the killings. Because if this continues it will destroy us as a country , as a nation" he says.
